Combining coatings and relief effects

Right after my studies I designed several series of coated fabrics. Over the years I keep coming back to this theme. One thing I have learned, is that coatings on textile work best when the base fabric has something special to it already. And if it doesn’t, I like to add a relief print to the coating. It makes coated fabrics much friendlier to the touch.
